One of the smallest planets in the Mopac System, Eslavo’s windy desert terrain and lack of any edible plant life provide for an almost uninhabitable environment. Esclavo is known for its hot days, cold nights, and ill-tempered wildlife. There are only two forms of civilization known to reside on this hostile planet: the Esclavian Sandrats, an ancient cliff-dwelling people whose staple export is Skio, a highly refined form of the liquid from sandclopse eyes sold on the black market as a recreational narcotic. The second sign of civilization exist, of course, within the infamous Esclavian Prison Mines. Confined to tunnels deep underground, convicts from all over the galaxy are sent here to serve their lives excavating precious minerals.
